Hi all suffers out there, has anybody been referred to Southend hospitals ME department for treatment.

Hi Daveo. Have you been referred there? Is the appt at the Tyrells Clinic in Benfleet? If so, then yes I have. Their letterhead address says Southend Hospital but I think you will find that their appts are at Tyrells. I saw the CFS consultant then had some physio and CBT all at Tyrells. JT

Hi no I haven't been referred but a friend of a friend has been and they wanted to know about the clinic and what to expect, they are in a bad way and it's getting her down hasn't left bed for three days.

Oh bless her. I'm sorry to hear that. I remember those days. I must admit the CBT isn't for me, I didn't find it helped. The deep breathing exercises and concentration helped me relax but the rest that came with it did nothing for me.

Physio I found hard because I was in so much pain that it was difficult for me to do. Also the exhaustion made it difficult. It's definitely worth the try though. She should give it a go at least. I wish her well 😀
