Hi amanda2277
I hope that you are feeling well today? I must admit that I have never tried homeopathic medicine at all. It is not the sort of alternative therapy that I would personally contemplate for the treatment of Fibro?
All my hopes and dreams for you

Thanks ken for your reply ...am just at the point we're I don't no wot els to do ..ther are so many overlapping symptoms going on as we'll as my fibro just fuel the doctors r not listing thinking of changeing my GP so fed up
I have tried homoeopathic and it did not help but on the positive side the health professional has much more time and you won't feel rushed in the consultation. A farmer friend likes it for their sheep!
Hi Amanda,
I wonder which hospital you're talking about? If it is the Royal Hospital for Integrated Medicine in Holborn in central London, then I've been treated there several times. I've had homeopathic medicine which has helped at least a bit in the past, and I've had a lot of acupuncture there which sometimes helped and sometimes made things worse.
I also went to a pain management course there for several weeks, which was helpful because I met some lovely people and we all supported each other and shared useful tips.
BUT it is part of a trust of hospitals including my main hosp, the National Hospital for Neurology & Neurosurgery, which is next door. So they were working together.
I think homeopathy, acupuncture, etc. need to be recognised as being complementary to mainstream treatment not alternative to it. When they are used together to complement each other, I've found them both more useful.
Hope this helps you decide.

Hi ther av been referd to the new homeopathic hospital in Glasgow at gartnavel
Hi Amanda, this is the best place to go! It is now the centre for integrated care, which treats people with chronic pain that most other medics give up on. It is a fabulous hospital with staff dedicated to helping you improve your life. Homeopathy is a tiny part of what they do, it is a holistic aproach to health. They have doctors, physiotherapists and other specialists available to help you, there are inpatient and outpatient services and i have just spent 5 days as an impatient. Before going to this hospital over a year ago i was desperate, i could not cope with the pain from fm, ra and chronic migraines. I am now in a much better place physically and mentally than I have been in years. Your gp is sending you to the best facility in Glasgow for dealing with chronic pain and exhaustion, they understand exactly what you going through.
If you want to pm me for more info please do.

I'm afraid I don't know anything about that one. I do think it's worth trying, Amanda. My dr said homeopathic treatments work better for some people than others.
I do hope it helps you.
I've not tried it but believe you need another doctor. One that takes you seriously. Probably a visit to a pain clinic would be best. Hope you find some relief sweetheart!!! xxx Mitzi
