Hi can never get through to doc on phone . I wait weeks for app and then have an hour wait. Edited By Admin wonder why I paid 40 years of national insurance

I struggle with getting appointments too. I find it extremely stressful because we have to phone at 8.30am - which is when I have to leave the house to get my kids to school on time. So it basically comes down to - get an appt and the kids are late that day, or miss out on appt and kids get to school. Sometimes it takes 20 minutes or so to get through, and often by that time all appts for the day are gone. My doc only works 3 days a week too, so if I get sick it has to be on mon through wed only!

I don't mind waiting around at the docs for the appt once I have it though - to me that's a sign that the doc is taking time to listen to the patients and dealing with the problems. I'd be worried if my doc were on time as I'd think that anyone with something serious wasn't being dealt with properly, and anyone with something small might feel they've either not had time to mention it, or they've been fobbed off. So for me getting the appt is worse than then having to wait around for it.
