Sometime I can not walk
Christine, you are obviously seeing all the Dr's and not getting anywhere fast.
I suggest you read my post, healthunlocked.com/fibroact...?
I can't say that it will help but it will do no harm to try.
Best Wishes, Ray
Hi Christinemalon8,
You didn't mention the medications your are taking.
If the medications are not working for you, you must speak to your doctor and consultants. It may be that you will need to adjust the dosage or get them changed. Many of them only partially work for the sort of conditions you have so it may also be useful to ask for a referral to a Pain Management Workshop. Sometimes, Mindfulness and Meditation do help to take the edge off things.
It also sounds as like you're feeling really low at the moment and a bit anxious. Perhaps you could look into getting some talking therapy and again, review the antidepressant medication given by your GP.
I hope this is helpful. I know exactly how you feel but don't give up. Try everything to get as much of your life and healthy body back as is humanly possible.
Let us know how you get on.
Wishing you all the best.
Hi there
I'm sorry to read how much you are suffering at this time Christine! If your meds are not helping please go see your GP again, you need to let them know!! There are loads of things to try and I'm sorry to say its a lot of trial and error!
I have a fantastic GP who worked alongside my rheumatologist and pain doctor to get me some relieve, you going to pain doctor is a step in the right direction.
Pain specialist have a bit more time to spend with us as our GPs are so busy we feel we don't want to take the extra time, anyway pain specialist will be a great help as they can also recommend different meds as well as listening to your fears and helping you learn to pace your life.
I do hope you get sorted soon as it's pain like no other!!
Keep us updated

Hi,
I have diagnosis of FM/CFS/ME and atrophy thyroid gland.
A huge amount of the time my mobility is effected and I have read other Fibromyalgia suffer walking/mobility difficulties.
It is very important that your Dr gets to the medical reason for mobility problems.

At the moment I'm feeling bad, started with painful calf pain, knees clicking, now pain from knees downwards, needle like pains, cramping pains and bone pain, waiting for X-ray to come back and physio appointment. Fed up...
I'm so sorry Christine that you feel so unwell, I agree with the other messages, go back to your doctor, hope you feel better soon xxxxxxxxxxx
Oh Christine,
So sorry to hear that you are going through this difficult period. We have all been there hun. I agree with all of the others that it is very important you go and see your doctor, or if you can't get to them, can they come to you? Do you have any family in the area at all? Do they know how you are feeling? It's not easy living with all of this and it can be depressing. I am on antidepressants as well. Please do go to your doctors and whilst you are there they should be able to let you know about help that you can receive to make your life just that little bit easier. Have you had Occupational; Therapists to your home? They can give you mobility aids to help your move around your house easier and also in the bathroom too. Try that, it's just some little things that can help you out in the long run.
Many many gentle hugs to you

Hi Christinemalon8-
I am so very sorry to read that you are suffering and struggling in this way, and I genuinely hope that you can find some resolution and relief to these issues. I was wondering if you had a good GP or Medical Specialist that you could discuss this with? As they may be able to prescribe you some stronger pain medications?
I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck with finding the answers that you so desperately desire and deserve.
All my hopes and dreams for you
Ken
This was happening to me. I was told it was sciatica and early stages of or tho arthritis in knees. Got MRI done on both knees and it revealed osteoarthritis on the backs of both kneecaps as well as a torn meniscus on one of my knees. I do have similar issues as far as the DDD in neck and the sciatica. Wondering if you've been having any knee pain? Good luck, honey. I know what you're going through but you are doing more damage by making yourself move. Stay off of those feet until you get it figured out!! Xx
If you look up a meniscus tear, it talks about the clicking, popping, and buckling of the knees. 1st ortho just gave me 2 shots but I went for a second opinion. Saw him today and he stated that there is still swelling so he wants to do arthroscopic surgery to repair the tear and drain some fluid. Also take care of anything else that needs to be taken care of. Finally seeing some relief in my future! Please get an MRI done. This won't go away if is a tear. Good luck dear!
