Hello all and a happy new year

I was diagnosed with fibro 3 years ago although i think I was suffering with it for many years and thought I was going mad, I broke down in tears when I actually got a diagnosis as it was a relief to find out it wasn't all in my head

Since my diagnosis I have had the help and support of a wonderful GP and pain specialist but I will be moving to the other end of the country next week and am scared I will not be able to find a decent GP if anyone knows of one in the BIshop Auckland area of County Durham I would love to know

Loads of gentle hugs and spoons to all those that need them

Hi Jeanlizzie

I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today? I genuinely hope that your move works out wonderfully well for you. I have pasted you a link below to the FibroAction pages on Fibro Groups. If you find a group local to where you are going to live, I am sure somebody from a group will be able to advise you on the best, and most Fibro friendly GP's in your area? They all have contact details listed on the page:

FibroAction - Fibro Support Groups

I have also pasted you a link to the GP Finder section on the NHS Choices site. I could look for GP's in your local area and request information about their specialties by contacting their surgeries?

NHS Choices - Service Search

I want to wish you all the best of luck and I genuinely hope that you find the answers that you are looking for.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Ken

Ji Jeanlizzie, welcome, I am not too far away from there, about half an hour but don't know the GP practices in BA that well. I would ring some local ones and ask if there is a GP with a special interest in rheumatology/FMS, I do know of a pain specialist at Durham UHND, I will send you a private message with his name, x

Hi sorry i cant help but would like to wish you luck.
