New Symptoms cropping up....

I have scoliosis so who knows if the tender points are truly from my back being misshapen or from the fibro. The fatigue has gotten me so bad just this past year that I have fallen asleep in meetings, while typing - to awaken and find foolishness was typed, I have had to pull over to nap even - On My Way to work!! The last several months my knees have been torturing me, buckling under, shooting pain, locking up, etc... And the other day I literally couldn't walk!! Every step caused pure agony to my knees, and every muscle in both legs hurt. It was like walking in quick sand! This went on for 2 days and the diagnosis was sciatica and early ortho arthritis in both knees. The MRI is scheduled for Dec 3rd so I'll let you know. But am curious if anything similar has occurred to anyone on here. Any thoughts appreciated....

I am so sorry to read of your suffering at this time and I genuinely hope that you can find the answers that you so desperately desire and deserve. I can relate to much of what you have written, as I have a compressed sciatic nerve and the pain is horrendous. I undertake daily physio to try and alleviate the pain but it does not always work.

I was also diagnosed with Osteoarthritis in both of my knees and Spondilosis in my neck, both of which give me severe pain. When I had a lower back MRI a few months ago they detected that I had no coccyx left as they had withered away causing more pain and loss of balance. I want to wish you all the best for your MRI in December, and I sincerely hope that it brings you closer to some definitive answers.

Wow, you can relate to much of my pain between the sciatica and the knees. Also, I had not even mentioned my neck... I also have degenerative disc disease in my neck, causing arthritis as well as bulging discs that I receive cortisone shots in when the pain gets too severe.

I am very sorry to hear of your daily pain but glad that you push through the fog and lethargy that fibro brings on to take an active part in feeling better with daily physio.... I'm sure that is not always easy to do as there are days where just getting out of the bed feels like a chore though I do work and have a 5 year old child to care for so it is not a choice...

I'm not sure why terrible things happen to good people but just keep staying positive and spreading it to others! Thank you for your kind words and when you are pushing through the pain, know that you are not alone in that!
