I'm not even sure how I will know if anyone replies on here?

It doesn't seem like a very active or busy community, so I think I might be waiting a long time for a reply...if any? So I guess I will log out for now & try to come back later.

Hi there slingblade96 :)

Welcome to our friendly fibro forum which is the best place to come for advice and support and I'm sorry if the community appears to be quiet at present but there are always members about to help answer queries and plus there is always someone from the admin team such as myself kicking about to help if we can.

Have you checked out our Mother site fibroaction.org where there is a wealth of information regarding all aspects of Fibromyalgia including things from medication advise to benefits.

Please can you let us know how we can try to help you :)

xxx sian :)

I can't seem to fathom out how it works on here. I'm purely self taught in regards to using the internet. I just need help.

Hello slingblade. I have only just come back on after shopping.

I am waiting to go to a tribunal for the care component of PIP and am hoping that it doesnt come up before my visit to a specialist in cognative dysfuction.

Do you get or have you applied for DLA or PIP? it depend on what part of the country you are in Which you apply for, that is something else to ask CAB about.

If you really dont want to deal with the CAB ask your local council if they have a benefits advisor, most do.

I too am self taught on a computer and the internet, There is still a lot i cant do but i am getting there and you will too, we will help whenever we can.

Thanks for responding to my messages on here Sue. I'm not sureof the answers to your qquestionsas I filled out the huge form in July 2013. TThat's why I'm so annoyed, that apparently after all my hard work in filling it out, they now tell me it can't be taken in2 consideration as things can change in that length o time. It isn't my fault that they took 8/9 months to send me an appointment & when they did, my father had just passed away so I was up North. It then took months for a new app, which after travelling a 4hr journy from my parents to attend, they cancelled on the morning I was due 2go. Waited again til end of Sept & waited a month 4the outcome, yet they can give me a so- called courtesy call by the decision maker to inform me that they will b stopping my income support in 19 days!!! If that isn't an injustice, I don't know what is? X

welcome and check your emails you will be notified when people respond. I have always found it a very active community but at certain times of day busier than others.

Hello again, you really do need professional help, unfortunatley I am not a professional. Please, please get help from a benefits advisor. They are the best people to help you.

personally i have always found the CAB to be very good.

Thankyou for your replies. I am unable to do very much at the moment, but hopefully by Monday I might be feeling better. I know I have to try & seek advice & can't afford to bury my head, but its all too overwhelming right now. I do appreciate your taking the time & effort to reply to me.

I think that there are time when we all just want to hide. I know that i do.

Good luck on Monday and let us know how you get on on.

Of course we answer all comments on this site. plus we try and make some of our answers to less serious questions funny, so as to put your mind and others at rest. Cheer up Pumpkin. Halloween is not for one day on this site!!!! ::--)) xxx

I've lightened up a bit today mindful. See posts on Spiders lol? Believe it or not, I can be quite entertaining at times. Unfortunately, the day & day after ..I was told my income support was about to be withdrawn & I now had to claim job seekers allowance... When I know I'm unable to work.,.made it pretty damned difficult to be a happy bunny....let alone pumpkin lol. X

Slingblade96, I'm sorry I can't help as I live in the USA, but I will be thinking of you and hope that

all works out the way you want it to be. I like this site very much as everyone seems so friendly

and helpful. The pic of the day always puts me in a good mood.

Hi Lille. I'm still working out how to get to your messages on here. Seems you have yo wade throw lots of old stuff before u can read new ones. Unless I'm doing it wrong. I hope to master it eventually! People do appear to be genuinely caring & it makes me feel less alone, even if, like yourself....miles away. Hope u have a good day over there in America. All the Best. Jan. A.K Slingblade.x
