Hi there Lesley, I am but a simple dimwit, but what is a freedom pass? I've not heard of it before, I would be really interested to hear about it, then perhaps I can check it out and help.

Ah a freedom pass is a disabled bus tube pass within London x

I looked it up it is a pass that gets you onto most types of transport, either free of charge or half price in London.

Hi there, first things first, when you phone for an application form make sure that you have details such as your national insurance number handy.

no 2 get together all medical info that you have. ie. hospital and doctors letters and reports. anything that may help to show what problems you have.

No 3 Get help filling in the form. The cab and the councils have benefits advisers that can help.

And good luck .

Thank you Do they have a time limit on it?

in reply toLesley-chard

The time limit starts from when you apply. I am sorry but i cant remember just how long it is. I do remember that it is several weeks.
