Is your assessment for ESA or PIP? I have only been involved in an ESA assessment. Make sure they know how you got to the assessment and that your friend has had to take you because it is too far to drive. Yes do mention that since you filled in all the paperwork that you have new health problems that are being investigated at the moment and may be heart trouble. We all need every bit of help to get these benefits. Just remember that you could be watched from as far away as the car park. Good luck with it all.

Hi angied

I sincerely hope that you are feeling well today? I just wanted to wish you all the best of luck with your appointment and assessment. I will keep my fingers crossed for you. I also hope that you have no other serious to contend with.

G/morning angied.

I had an assessment for ESA. Yes tell them about your nxt GP app. As rose wine. Has said they may watch you from car park, also how you open doors( this was mentioned on my report!) If I could give just one piece of advice it would be to ask for a copy of the report. I was shocked about some of the things mentioned in mine. This way you can appeal if anything is wrong or NOT mentioned.

If your worried about physical you can opt out. Also mention how you will feel the next day after you have had app.

All the very best

hi there.

the only words of advice i would give is ring them NOW and request that your assessment be recorded. this is important as it gives you all the information you need to request reconsideration. you will be able to compair what they have written and what was actually said. Also the friend that is taking you there, take her into the room with you and have them take notes also.

if there is anything you are not happy doing tell the assessor that you cant do this and explain why, never give them a chance to tell lies but do not waffle on during pauses this coud be your down fall. while the assessor is typing away putting you answers into the computer do not elaborate on anything always make sure that you have their attention.

if there is anything else you need to know just ask me i have been there done that and have the T.shirt and i am also a memeber of a brill group that deals with the assessments and give 5* advice.

best of luck and i will be thinking of you

You can mention that your health has got worse but I think they will only assess you and take what you wrote on the form. My heart consultants letter was dated before the form was filled in and was eventually on appeal taken into consideration however my lung consultants letter was after and they would not consider unless I reapplied? I went to appeal and won support ESA.

If you have to go upstairs use the lift and if it is filled with boxes make them move them out.

Be Well
