Hi caroline47
I am so sorry that this has given you such worry, and I was wondering if you could phone them and tell them of your problems with getting out of the house? It may also help if you were to ring social services and explain the situation to them as they could possibly act on your behalf as a liaison and contact the DWP for you?
I want to wish you all the best of luck with finding the answers you desire and deserve for this issue.

Hello there Caroline47
It looks like you need a home visit. I have found in the past that this can be quite a battle however stick with it . If there a contact number I would ring and explain why you can't attend and go from there . You will need you GP on side as he will have to support your need for home visit. In the past I have had a home visit and after phoning they requested written explanation which was sent onto my GP who support the reasons and I was lucky enough to get a home visit . I hope this helps they do try ever way possible to get you to an appointment but if your in agony and it going too make you worse you need to remember it will be you that will suffer the pain not the assessor . Take care if you don't mind let me know how you get on .Take care piggy squeak
I live in Wallasey and i'm pretty sure there is a place in l/pool where they do assessments. You can request a more convenient location for you. Considering the nature of your claim they have to accommodate your needs where at all possible. Don't be shy to ask. Good luck, Kmc x
good luck, let us know how you get on x
