Is this a normal tension headache??

So I have been having a pain in the back of my head and went to the doctor she said its a tension headache it finally went away.well today I have like a hot feeling in my forehead and between my eyes anyone else have this happen?

I am so sorry to read that you are suffering with headaches, I have chronic Migraines and they really are unpleasant and can easily bring you down!

The headache at the back of your head really does sound like a tension headache as it is most likely coming up from your neck? As for the hot feeling between your eyes that sounds like sinus problems, and it could be giving you a sinus headache or an infection?

As I am not a doctor I cannot say for sure that this is what the issue is? If you pop along to your local pharmacy they will be able to advise you on this. If they think it is something more serious they will tell you to see a doctor, if not, they can recommend what type of pain killer would be most effective?

If it is sinus problems they have special sinus capsules, or if it is infected they can sell you anti-inflammatory tablets such as Ibuprofen until you can see a doctor?

Morning Yes I have this sort of headache sometimes. Also i you touch the back of your head just about where the spine goes into the scull on either side is like a duck this for me can harden and usually it means my head ache will follow, So I massage the eggs and on my temples rub in a little tiger balm helps open up the blood vessels and assists the clusters to relax.

after being in hospital for a week with lots of different tests was told it was a tension headache, I discovered several weeks later that I was reacting to cinnamon in my tea (chai). Still get headaches but now I drink coffee.

Hey there Nicola. You did the right thing getting it checked out but yes it could be a tension headache I get loads of tem it modern life that causes most of em, It could also be migraine or mild arthritis.
