It appears my sciatic nerve wanted to dance and sing with my leg last night, Hubby even kindly nudged me to say stop doing the hokey cokey in bed lol . Think I managed on n off a total of a hours sleep, what does e1 do to help with these restless nights? My gabapentin don't seem to be kicking so I am taking double dose to see if these help, I was on 8 x 100mg a day but have greatly reduced to 3 x daily.

Morning I know how hard the night times can be ! Please do not just double a dose of tablets it is extremely dangerous!
Do ring your surgery and see a Doctor discuss your meds they may need tweekin Okay
Let us know how you get on but never advocate just changing medicines it from a pensive Gins x.
Thanks for your concern Gins but I am able to take up to 8 x times but I choose personally not too so I don't end up zombie. I shall prob just take the 3 x 100 spread over the Cpl hours before bed see if that helps with this leg.
Hi inkmeup
I am so sorry to read that you are suffering in this way, and it genuinely sounds like a form of torture for you? I have pasted you a link to the NHS Choices page on 'Restless Leg Syndrome', so I hope that you find this useful:

I know there are medications for this that you could discuss with your GP? I have terrible sciatic nerve issues and I now use a TENS Machine for a couple of hours before going to bed, and I have found this helps with the pain and with the twitching (more like playing rugby than twitching!).
I want to wish you all the best of luck with this.

Flexaril also called cyclobenzaprine taken before bed it is a muscle relaxer. It makes you sleep really well which gives your body a good chance to heal overnight. I take 5 mg it also comes in 10 mgs. Mention this to your doctor.
