Hi i have spasms,shooting pains,burning sensation,headache i gets spasms and shooting pains and twinges in my neck shoulders arms wrists leg

Hips and feet.and i have fatigue. most days are bad. the doc is sending me to a pain clinic will they be able to tell me if i have fibromyalia or chronic fatigue sydrome. my doc think i could have cfs but the pain is worse then the sleep i also suffer with anxiety and depression. Palpations

Sorry to hear that you are having such a bad time of it. I can emphathise with the difficulty with the burning, shooting pains as they are terrible and very debilitating. Were you suffering with anxiety and depression before this illness came on or have they come on since. Fibro and CFS are very similar in many ways but with fibro there seems to be more emphasis on the pain and with CFS on the fatigue but of course some poor people can suffer from both. Hopefully the pain clinic will be able to help with advice and perhaps medication and could perhaps refer you to a psychologist to help deal with your anxiety and depression as this can only be making matters worse. Let us know how you get on at the Pain Clinic,have you got an appointment yet?x

I am so sorry to read that you are suffering in this way, and I genuinely hope that you can find some resolution and relief to these issues. Pain management sounds like the ideal place for you to go? And with a bit of luck they may be able to give you some real and tangible help and advice with managing your pain?

It may help to keep a pain diary off how you have felt and your pain levels etc over a period of time so you have some guidelines and comparison for the pain clinic? i.e. Monday / date / morning, back hurts pain level 6 out of 10 etc?

sounds like you do have CFS both myself and my partner have it at times it feels like your burning inside sometimes you get electric shocks and your muscles start twitching, unfortunately there's no cure. I was diagnosed four year ago and my partner last year.

yes I had anxiety before this burning and tingling etc came on. the interesting thing is. I did not have this burning and tingling neither did I have fibro BEFORE I had a swine flu jab it started two weeks after having that. I would be interested to know if anyone else had similar effects or the onset of fibro after having the jab,

I take general painkillers such as paracetamol and codeine prescription strength plus pain relief gels they wanted me to try amityptoline but it caused headache, shakes and numbness in the jaw so I stopped it. docs don't really bother.

Hi Sweetheart. Sorry you are in so much pain. This sounds crazy but look at your finger nails and at the cuticle count the half moon's. I have 3 small ones out of 10. I once read that was a sign of fibromyalgia. Yes the pain clinic will be able to tell you and give you something to make life more bearable. I hope you are feeling better soon. I've been there with all the pain and spasms, etc.... xxx Mitzi
