you can ask for someone, a benefits advisor, from the CAB or AgeUK to come to you for advice. also ask them about other agencies to help
Hi Maria737577
I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today? I am delighted that you have been placed in a support group, and I genuinely want to congratulate you for this.
As for your DLA changing to PIP, as hamble99b has already stated you can ask many differing organisations to come along and visit you to help with your forms and get some good, solid advice.
I want to wish you all the best of luck when the time comes.
All my hopes and dreams for you

They are telling us , that pip will be better suited to the disabled than dla , because we will be having regular check ups , and if our condition is deteriorating they will adjust our money appropriately , and if they think we will swallow that , then they are sorely mistaken , liars and cheats is this government , so then you have the disabled saying great lets vote labour in , but labour as said they wont alter it , but will abolish the bedroom tax , do not be fooled our MPs are the most dishonest people in our society , make your mind up on voting , but remember LibDems preaching a fair society and they have sanctioned the biggest witch hunt against the disabled .
Hi Maria
Very glad you have got into the SG but so angry that you had 18 months of unnecessary hell to get there. I know how debilitating agoraphobia can be, it permeates the whole of life. Best wishes to you. x
Pip is better in some respects to DLA because it sees the person and how well they manage with their illness. DLA saw the diagnosis and that's it. Is work as a benefit advisor mainly with those who have mental health issues and pip appears to be better for this client group.
There are lots of support agents out there and yes I agree being 60 and having to go through this is awful. Ageuk have a large number of clients in your boat.I would seek out their advice and guidance.
