Hi Nita,

Paracetamol would help with the pain in your hands in the short term but I would go back to your GP and say you need pain relief because the pain in your hands is impacting on your daily life. There is nothing worse than trying to cope when in constant pain, as many of us know, and there are many other prescription only medicines available. Good luck, Linda.

Hi have you thought of compression gloves - might be worth a try - do you suffer with pins and needles or is it just your aches and pains that get you down.

Do try the gloves :) xxgins

Not pins and needles, just throbbing pain, sometimes all fingers. I got some thumb braces for both hands yesterday, but do not want to wear them all the time. It started with thumbs. Also have fibro, so I do not know it is part of that.

Hi Nita7

I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today? I am so sorry to read that you are having such a problem with throbbing pain in your hands. I have pasted you two links below pertaining to this issue. There was another link but this was about pins and needles with Rheumatism and not what you have written about?

I genuinely hope that you find the links useful:

localhealth.com/article/han...

webmd.com/pain-management/g...

It may give you some idea of what the issue could be and how to treat it, unless it is the dreaded Fibro, and then you really need to see what pain management you can be afforded. I sincerely hope that you can find some resolution and relief to this problem.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Hi Ken,

Your second website's info seems to be what I am looking for. Thank you for taking time to respond. This means a lot to me. You guys help us all to cope.

Kind regards

Nita

Hi I can really sympathise with your hand pain & the fact that during usual tests nothing shows up, some things I have found that can as I call it "break the cycle " when the knawing aching pain is unbearable.

Wax bath, hot wax that you put your hands in, controlled temperature obviously, warmth & wax help short term.

Felbinac (Traxam) foam is best or gel, a pain relieving foam that I use on hands knees etc

Lavender Aromatherapy lotion, I get from Body Care think it's the combination of lavender & gentle massage as your putting it on

I also have thumb/wrist support though I actually find some light compression gloves I bought to try & stop pain when I'm

Doing some sewing.

Hope something helps for you soon, holding my phone or typing is a huge set off for me & raining cold weather well just sets everything off

Take care Karen

Oops that was The Body Shop for lavender aromatherapy lotion I've found that the best but there are many others

Felbinac foam or gel is on prescription from Dr's

Dear Karen

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I made a note of your info. I hope you are ok today. I try to focus on other things also and sometimes it helps to take my mind of 'me and myself'.

Kindest regards

Nita
