Hi all I have been finally diagnosed with fibromyalgia and PTSD, after struggling for four years. I would like to know if there are others living in Bath UK who would like to chat.

Hi Irene
I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today? Welcome to the forum and I genuinely hope that you find it as useful as I do. I am so sorry to read that you also have this horrid illness, but this is a wonderful, friendly and informative site.
I am pasting you a link to our parent site, Fibroaction, which has lots of Fibro friendly information on it:
I really look forward to bumping into you around the site.
All my hopes and dreams for you

Hi Irene - there is a fibro group in Bath and one in Mendip, whichever is nearest to you. The Mendip group meets every first Monday of the month and it has a craft group every third Wednesday of the month - really a great group, very positive and welcoming, and not at all moany - really inspiring people. If you live in Bath, you can also definitely access the Mendip library through your local library, lots of books to help you. I am not sure of the meetings for Bath group, but I think they usually are advertised on the mendipfibrosupport facebook page. Hope we meet up one day! Love and hugs x
Hi thank you all for the replies. Sounds like you all have great groups. I would like to hear from anyone in a Bath Group as I don't travel far. Can anyone tell me if they eliminate certain foods from their diet to help with the Fibromyalgia.
Hi Irene25
I have personally eliminated all diary from my diet and after some tests I was told that I am now lactose intolerant, I must admit I never was before Fibro!
I know of many members who will not consume gluten as they say it makes their Fibro worse. The best way to do this is to eliminate one thing at a time so you know which food stuff is affecting you.
I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today?
