I find that my glasses hurt me wherever they touch, as do my bra and wristwatch. I can't wait to take them off at night. Does anyone find anything similar?
Also I am suffering with urine frequency. Every 2 hours at most through the night and can be half hourly through the day. I feel like such a hyperchondriac

Hi Tracy. Yes I get very sensitive skin, as for the loo I have IBS & IB, app my muscles are going in those areas, sometimes it could be every half hour thank goodness for Tenna's I say lol...hope you have better day tomorrow...sending gentle hugs...Dee xx
Hi Traceyj63, I had the same problem and had to stop wearing a watch. I. Could not stop wearing bra as I have large boobs, so tried support tops and sports bras. But last year I was sent to the homeopathic hospital by my gp, it is a centre for integrative care, and as part of the treatment I was given two different homeopathic remedies, arnica 30c and vernix 200 c, since then i have not suffered extreme sensitive skin. Al my clothes used to urt me prior to this. I hope this is useful to you, Shazzzy.
I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today? I am so sorry to hear that you are having these problems at this time, and you really are not alone with this.
I wear lounge pants around the house, you know the loose type of trouser as my jeans etc can become really uncomfortable and painful. I genuinely hope that you can find some resolution and relief to this issue.
On the matter of your waterworks (embarrassing bit, sorry) there is a medication called 'Oxybutynin Hydrochloride' That can regulate your constant toilet trips. It is one of those drugs that regulate the passing of water. I was told to take the medication and each trip to the bathroom, urinate as normal and then try again to really empty the bladder and it really works for me! It may be worth discussing this drug with your GP?
Thanks Ken, I'm due for another review next week, and it's on my list x
Hi traceyj63
I have a variety of skin issues especially regarding the pressure of clothing/fabrics against my skin as I can get pressure sores which can get quite nasty Big loose and baggy is the way forward for me
I think you need to speak to your GP about your waterworks as it could be a symptom for something else and the doc will be able to rule things out and lessen the stress a bit for you. I would also discuss your sensitivities with your GP too, I have many sensitivities not just skin but eyes too I am photophobic, I have poor temperature control so have sensitivities to hot and and cold too

Me too! I know it as an indicator of impending tiredness, and use it to take everything off and go for fun jimjams, soft socks (those feet get particularly cold then!) and a soft cuddle fleece, depending on degree of soreness
The hand therapist I saw for CRPS has given me quite a few ideas for coping with fibro from the desensitisation and movement programme. One thing that has stood out for me is to find something, however small, that is really enjoyable, and do it gently - like stroking something soft, silky or furry. Or all of them ... My cat was my saviour for CRPS! sadly gone now, but excellent for fibro heebie-jeebies too!!
I also can't wear jewellery - necklace and earrings still off the agenda most days but have got back to wearing a watch more regularly Even my work pass (a flat, 'ribbon' style lanyard with plastic card clipped on bottom) gets too much on my neck. The card, worn inside when actually working, is even worse
One tip for anyone suffering with soreness with bra straps - I discovered using a solid stick deodorant (I use one anyway as aerosols are complete no-no and roll-ons - for me - are disgustingly sticky!) on bra-lines, ie shoulder straps and around ribcage, helped give me a fair bit longer before having to tear off the bra with a sigh of relief.
YEP! I love bracelets, watches, ring etc unfortunately they all sit staring at me every day wondering why I don't wear them any more, only on special occasions do I grit my teeth and wear them just for old times sake. Gentle hugs xxx
How do you explain to people ... I know it 3pm and still in my pj,s but my clothes hurt .. Why to folks look at me like oh ye !!!! There heavy and rub my skin . Pjs in the house or naked now that would surprise visiters !!!!!! I to wear sports bra the type in step in or over head no fasteners . I can keep them on for a few hours .
You are definitely alone, in fact i am glad to hear others have these symptoms too. Bras are a problem i wear the completely soft ones at home with no fastening as i find them easier from a pain perspective. I don't wear rings, bracelets or watches because they cause so much additional pain
Can sympathise with everyone. Haven't wore any type of bra for more than a couple of hours for about four and a half years and even then it has to be a special occasion. I have been reduced to wearing quite thick fabrics even in summer to cover the fact that I am not wearing a bra up and wear lightweight gilets for that reason as well. As you say even a vest can be painful at times so I resort to baggy T shirts. The times I have tried to wear a bra out I have often ended up in the loos half an hour later ripping it off and putting it in my bag. Had the embarassment in M & S of forgetting it was there and opening my bag to get my money out and it dropped on the floor in the middle of the queue I swear people thought I had stolen it. I've tried every type of bras imaginable but to no avail, Anyone else in that situation has my sympathies. xx
Hi Tracey! I have sensitive skin, but mainly on my legs. And I certainly do have to wee often. But it's only a little bit...well it feels like a full tank, but it isn't, except for the morning one of course!! XX
