I suffer mainly pain in neck arms legs ankles and feet . The ankles and feet seems to be the main pain that really tortures me. Has anyone had anything that has helped them with this. Thank you sooooo much. Just reading posts on here after a bad day is sooooo helpful.

hi lekcam, i don't know if i can be much help to you but i know how it feels. i don't know what medication you take but until i was put on pregabalin & nortriptilyn i was in so much agony i could barely walk! & yes it was like torture. they do still hurt & that bendy bone thing at the back of feet going up leg gets stiff too. my feet do still stiffen & burn like hell if ive been out, i asked my gp if ankle supports would help she said to try them & the best thing to do is go to a chemist as pharmasist can advice on which is best & they also measure you up properly. i havn't tried them yet but i will some time. apparently it's all part of fibro & all i can do to relieve pain is not to stand on them so sorry thats not much help to you & i hope someone on here knows a solution xx

Hi lekcam,

So sorry your ankles and feet are giving you such grief. Are you on your feet for the whole of your shift?

I used to run a shop and stood from 8.00 till 5.oo every day so you have my sympathy, I tried every thing

different shoes , I would change them two or three times a day. I would spray coolant stuff on my feet, change my socks i STRAPPED my feet and ankles. As soon as I got home I would soak them and elevate them for the evening.

I am afraid nothing particularly made a vital difference until I gave up work and rested them and accepted that it was part of Fibro and as I later found out I also have Lymphodema.

So please rest as often as you can do wear ankle support if it helps and look forward to time off and legs up

Thanks so much. Have tried everything that you have just spend my day changing shoes and wearing support bandages. I work in a hospital and the only thing that puts things in perspective for me is the very ill patients I see . Thank you for your help

Hi lekcam

I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today? I am so sorry to read that you are having this problem at the present time.

I am so sorry but I do not have advice on how to get around this issue that could actually work, all I can manage when I am suffering this way is to sit down and rest. I genuinely hope that you can find some resolution and relief to this issue.

I have pasted the FibroAction website link below as you may find this useful:

Hi leckam

I used to have really bad ankles and feet problems, walking on glass, swelling, hot burning sensations, ankles giving way, I went to GP and asked to be referred to PODIATRY they made me some insoles for my shoes told me Trainers ARE the best for this problem, since then still get pain but nowhere near as severe.

Also REFLEXOLOGY is a brilliant source of relief. I now feel like I'm walking on air.

Hope this helps in some small way.

Gentle Hugs are on the way
