Ouuuuuch you little @*%. I actually cringed with pain when I looked at this. It`s my Rimmer doing what he did best when was a youngster.and could attack at any time. All you could do was grin and bare it cus the more you tried to escape the more painfull it was for you. It usually took someone else giving him a tap on the nose to get him to loose. I`m glad to say that he mellowed with age.So long as you did NOT touch his tummy.Just shown this to Hubby .His reaction was " Ouuuuch It`s Rimmer .It`s just like him.Even the white on his nose. He`s come back to haunt me." :) Sue

If you look closely pusscat doesn't have his claws out................ awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww paddy paw fight :D LOL

Thanks so much sian, I'm needing them, the stress of the solicitors meeting has rendered me into migraine mode, I guess I knew it would ....hey ho :o

Hi Foggy,

Keep them coming! Love it, so true - my doggy is quite happy if I tie his ears in a knot, as long as I'm touching him...the cat however..! Xxx

Hi Foggy. Hope the meeting went ok despite the pain :(

It's well known that dogs have masters, cats have staff :P

I empathise with the cat. Pain makes me very hard to please. Sometimes.

But I got a musical purr when you gets it right.

Hope the heads clear as a bell and pain free.

It`s been years since Iv`e been able to hear a cat purr. :( I used to hold Rimsey against my ear just so that I could hear him purr'. Blooming tinnitus.

My tinnitus kicked off the other day, change of pitch, much higher and oh SO irritating and difficult to live with. :o

That is the only time when I find it irritating is when it changes. Do you ever get, what sounds like either church bells, singing or some sort of music in the distance? .It is something new and hard to explain. Luckily it doesn`t last long

Mine tends be a loud high hissing or squeaking, I wish I knew what triggered the attacks , then I could take preventative measures. :o

Most of the time its like being in the middle of a noisy factory with lots of different noises sort of layered on top of one another.when its quiet i can pick out the separate sounds

I could not imagine being surrounded by the din of tinnitus. I honestly think I would be barking.

Unlike whippets :P

in reply to nedd

It has never bothered me, when I first noticed the noises I remember thinking That i have tinnitus, no cure, get used to it. It is not being able to follow a conversation that bothers me between tinnitus and fog I dont stand a chance...Oh well if thats how it is. then I just have to live with it. sue

Do you have it all the time or do you get phases where it's not so noisy, I do, then something seems to kick it off again , drives me up the wall !! :o :o

Always got munchies, sometimes hard to control. If it's not that it's moochies at 3 am.

Mine's just a hiss but it sometimes causes hearing problems. For years as a kid no one believed me, then of course they didn't believe me for other things. Never actually talked to GP about it but with link to fibro does anyone think it might be worth it?

I would definitely talk to your doctor about it, I know it can be a side effect of certain drugs , but well worth an ask, there's not much they can do for it though. Some people find that certain sounds tend to block it out, I have one friend who has to sleep with a huge fan turned on every night, otherwise she can't sleep at all. Luckily I do havre times when mine isn't as noticeable and boy oh boy, do I like that :-) :-)

Thanks foggy, due to talk soon so will do. I have another question for you, entirely unrelated to anything past but there's a photo with it so it'll be a new post. My railway friends have no idea :)

in reply to Fibrofoggiest

Quinnine can make it worse, it does mine.

I miss silence, that is something i never have. :(

I couldn't agree more, I long to lie in bed and have complete silence, a very rare thing these days :o

Sending anti-tinnitus vibes your way :-) and keeping one or two for myself (greedy monkey that I am !! )

Would you believe that I have just been stumbleing on the web and came accross an article on musical ear syndrome. It seems that it is quite well known for people with tinnitus or who are deaf to have this. How about that I may have yet another syndrome to add to the list :)

Just looked that up on Wikipedia. Not sure if it's the same as earworms - which definitely have, even if it's not real :P

I dont think so .I think this is another type of tinnitus Thats what it sounds like to me .If thats what it is i am not sure this makes sense Anyway I forgot to say good morning sue
