I would imagine that different areas have different waiting times, you would have to contact them

When my gp referred me he booked an appointment that was convenient for me on his computer that was online linked to the booking service at all the local hospitals, he books all my referrals for anything that way, I'd say call or visit your gp and ask if they can either book yours this way or if he can nudge the pain clinic for your first appointment

Dont know what area you are in but i was refered just before christmas and ihave got appointment on 20th febuary

I waited nearly 4 months for my appointment. 6 months if you count the fact that my GP surgery sent me to the wrong place first of all. Might be worth calling and asking them what their current waiting time is?

It obviously very much depends upon which county you live in as to how long you wait.
