Hi Angie,

Could I just ask if your entitlement was income based or contribution based ? that is important as there are different rulings according to which one your esa was awarded on.

Hi broadband

I am so sorry but I do not know the answer as I am not on anything like that. However, I wanted to wish you all the best in sorting this out. Good Luck.

I rang esa before my first year came to an end, was sent more forms to fill in, and to send back to dwp.

I was moved over to the income based was and won my appeal to be moved into the support group from the work related group as well

Hi as far as I know you still continue with your claim, if you had been in wrag it would of ended (contribution based ) after a year but because you are in the support group it carries on ! this is what I was told would happen when I queried it , my year is up in February so we shall see

Hope this is of some help for you xx

Hiya

I was like that at first but I got my Doctor to write a letter to say I wasn,t for for work.

Then I put in for DLA and got both higher rates so I refused to go to job centre. I put a complaint in and just before my next appointment I was rung up and told I didn,t need to go anymore and didn,t need sick notes and put in the contribution support group.

This is a few years ago and things might have changed.

Hiya if you get contribution rate according to them 2 months ago when I rang to ask why I had got another form.

I was told that they review it every 3 years so on that basics I would not ring them and wait for them to get intouch with you because you should have another 2 years.

I have found that if you ring them for any reason it gives them a push to review sooner!

Hope this helps.
