curve in spine
Hi Hunny How are you?
How strange that he didn't say anything more about it
I'd be going back and asking him to explain what it means !?!
Relaxing lavender fluffies heading your way xxxsianxxx
Hi
Have you got an appointment to go back to the physio? I had the same problem. Was told it couldve been caused by being in a crash or being pregnant.
I was also told I have a curved spine, but I wasn't given any reason at al!! X
Hi,
I'd try not to worry, I know you have problems with your GP but maybe he made no comment because it wasn't a concern (not that that is an excuse for refusing to answer questions, but trying to work on the more optimistic view that no news is good news?
My physio has told me I have an overly curved lower spine which hinges quite badly, and like you related it to my posture and abdominal muscles. If your core/abdominal muscles are weak, and also IF you are carrying any extra weight, (particularly belly weight), your back ends up under pressure and doing more work than it should, which places a burden on the spine. The abdomen should be doing all the work and if it can't, this can lead to back problems. Poor posture and hereditary MSK probs can exacerbate this. Pilates would probably be very beneficial but if you want to do something like that, find a physio run class who will be mindful of joint care.
Good luck x
Hi what if the curve is because I have an ovarian cyst or tumour?my stomach is reason for weight gain of about 11 + kgs as it is huge and very heavy.
I'm sorry, I didn't realise that you had such a diagnosis, you could do without any more worry. Did the Physio think it was related to the growth rather than abdominal muscles then or did you not discuss that? It might be worth telling the Physio at the next appointment about this other diagnosis, and explain that you are worried that the two could be linked. With regards your GP, you need to go back and demand answers if he is ignoring symptoms or developments when you already have a very worrying diagnosis in a similar area of the body. Presumably the growth will be biopsied sooner rather than later? Certainly that weight gain, irrespective of the cause will not be helping the spine issue, and will benefit from core-strengthening, but it is perhaps the least of your concerns until that biopsy is back and you know exactly what you are dealing with. Best of luck in getting some answers, quickly xx
hi I did ask my physio if it was related to growth.he (my dr)is adamant it is IBS btu I know its not.my stomach is much harder today and just having had a wash |(cant use shower)notice it looks like I ahve lost more weight elsewhere and stomach is definitely more swollen.will take copies of responses on here to my dr next time.
What I they doing about the cysts
sorry if I mislead anyone,i say I have a cyst or tumour altho dr insists its IBS when i dont have symptoms of ibs.my sympotms do match up with those of OC.
This is my concern, if there is a growth that is getting bigger, and they haven't even confirmed what it is, that is far more worrying than a curved spine. If there is no option to change GP I think I'd be taking myself to A and E and refusing to leave
am thinking go back to A&E last time i was told by some stuck up junior doctor " I dont know why you are here"and refusing to leave until someone realizes something is wrong.
Can you ask your GP to refer you to a specialist just to put your mind at rest. I have health anxiety o I get this all the time. I paid to go private but you still need a referral from your doctor
hello Maisie what do you think you have?what with all my CA125 results being above >35 and my symptoms including weight loss, weight gain on abdomen-solid and hard lumpy mass and now pelvic pain with feeling the need "to go"-conclusion it s OC. am emailing my gp now to request referral.my "waistline??"is now 44-45 " compared to my size 12 measurements elsewhere
