Happy new year April' the meds have kicked in alright now the amitriptyline has bunged me up hence the new meds

Do you mind my asking what meds you are on? Not just the pain meds...all of your meds. I ask because there's a lot of evidence over certain therapeutic strategies that drastically help fibro that is not particularly embraced by many physicians who are not as current as they could be in the treatment of fibro.

I'm finding Duloxetine to be reducing flare ups, it's not a cure but the frequency of really bad times has reduced. It's an SSNI but has proved to be helpful for a lot of people with FM. I'm on the maximum dose, it does have side-effects that people may not be happy with though, so you have to weigh up the pro's and con's - particularly if you have an active sex life, it causes a lot of problems..

Yeah of course I'm on naproxen codean solphate amitriptyline that's because I suffer with fibromyalgia

Sounds like you are suffering a bit - sorry to hear that- is it time you saw your doctor for a medicine review? Best start the new year up to date try and keep smiling

Hey gins I have seen the doc and he has put my dosage of naproxen and amitriptyline up and cos off the side effects he had to put me on laxido and capsoles for acid reflux

A belated happy new year to you too, it sounds like you are having a really rough time at the moment. I know how nasty shoulders can be, I've had one replaced, and how the pain refers right down your arms, it's horrid, so I really feel for you !
