I've found them! Lovely dogs. Your Annie is the same colour as Echo, but chunkier. If I can work out how to add a photo I will put pics of Buster and Echo here for you to see. I'm just not very technical, so don't hold your breath!

if you go to "create a post" it gives the opportunity to select photos and post them

Thanks. Tried this but my photo's are too large and I don't know how to reduce the size to 2.5 MB!

what camera do you have?i had a lumix bridge which allowed me to do any editing on computer .this camera has failed me twice so returned it to argos and got a replacement-now sony bridge camera which is so much easier to use and any editing of photos(including resizing) can be done on the camera before uploading.

I have an inexpensive panasonic lumix. Point and click! I'll take a look and see if I can change the settings so I can take a new picture of them both and upload. Thank you for your patient help!

Annie is probably overweight tho she gets plenty of exercise an doesn't really have treats -just teething sticks and chicken roll plus her 2 meals a day.I don't think she is fat just heavy as she is part GSD.she has the gsd coat.

Our dogs get a 1 hour lead walk in the morning first thing before breakfast. Sometimes we take them to the beach or Towans in the afternoon. Echo was attacked in July this year by a mastiff and had her torn belly stapled so she no longer likes most other dogs, especially big ones.

my Max was attacked by a staffie not long after I moved to where I live now(totally unprovoked).Buster was attacked by a collie dog as we walked along a path to home and this dog pushed its way thru its gate and took a chunk out of busters leg.wish i had called the police when it happened but too concerned to get him to a vet.i think thats why Annie hates collies -she never used to behave badly towards other dogs before that incident.

Our Buster hates bicycles! and Echo now dislikes most other dogs. Walks are very interesting now! We walk them both early as soon as the sun is up and rarely meet anyone which suits us!

its interesting to see what others dogs like and dislike.my buster who was a very nervous dog when he first came to me-hates any loud bangs-bird scarers, fireworks.cars or bikes backfiring,.sound of waves and flashing lights..if he hears or sees anything he doesn't like he will turn round and flee.one day a lad was playing with a remote control car on the playing field and that freaked him out so much he took off and I found him outside my house.thankfully Annie isn't bothered by noise.some time she is physically shaking with fear.Annies only problem is if Buster is choking or vomiting(and outside) she doesn't like that and will run and sit in the porch.

april 2015,annie a lot chunkier now-not down to diet as she rarely has treats .expecting he rto get even chunkier now as back on steroids for her skin allergy.

They are lovely. We love our staffie cross called Nell. From rescue kennels. She is about 19months old. Only had her since sept. We had a cross terrier called Lilly from dogs trust . She was five wen we got her. Died of old age at sixteen.we had three long years without a dog.so happy to love another one now. Nell is lively and powerful. But she seems to know who to be gentle with. She never pulls if i walk her, goes slow if im in pain. Lays next to me on rough days and plays gentle wen its me. Mad as a hatter with my oldest daughter! Climbs all over her on the sofa. We are very lucky. As are you to have loved such lovely dogs anbuma .

when I got buster ,I met him on the local beach when there with Max one Saturday am and I said to his foster carer is this Buster.I had seen his picture on teh kennels website.later that day he came home with me for a trial period and he stayed.i only learnt as time went by about his history and that his previous owner wanted him put down as he was biting..he was given a second chance.he did bite after I got him but soon settled own and I kept him away from children.he is a loving dog but still has that side to him where something will snap inside his head and he might turn .

Ahh, I can see why you chose to have Max as your piccie, bless him, I'm a bit stupid as you know only too well, but what breeds are Annie and Buster ?

anbuma profile image
anbuma in reply toFibrofoggiest

you shouldnt say that about yourself Foggy. They are both cross breeds.Annie is a staffie x gsd and Buster is (as far as I know) a dobermann X terrier..he has the dobermann features(eyebrows)and a terrier coat.

I m not sure i could ever see Labrador in him thought there might be some collie (from the white blaze down his front??)ive seen his brother and sister -they live locally-and they have the same markings but are terrier size.

They're lovely. Dogs make such a big difference to our lives, don't they? My own - 'Spider' - is at the groomers this am where I left him shaking with horror at the prospect of being fussed and adored by the lovely lady who does it, although he still hasn't worked this out after 5 years. He's only only getting a tidy up around his chops and legs so that he can see again and his legs don't get so muddy, but you'd think I'd sent him to have his legs chopped off! He's a rescue with a lovely nature - a big Patterdale terrier crossed with something or other and nearly 15 years old now. He's very fit still, but has dementia, which means that he can't be left for more than about two minutes any more as he has massive separation anxiety despite sprays and Vet's advice etc. He's also become frightened of almost everything sadly and needs lots and lots of reassurance - he refused to come in to the sitting room the entire time I was wrapping presents (terrifying paper, tape AND scissors) and he's a nightmare to take to anyone else's house (peed on two Xmas trees this Christmas!). Despite his foibles, I'll be lost without him when he goes. I'll see if I can post a pic of him...

im sure my buster has separation anxiety a she barks whenever I go out and leave him and he is scared of everything.he refuses to go out of my back door if there s xmas lights flashing in someones window and if we go to the beach (as did today)he wont go if he can hear the waves crashing or a boat going out to sea.also becos he knows i'm ill. i can see it in their expressions.i can t bear the thought of them being left behind if something happens to me
