Hi Shazzy, i've had acupuncture which relieved the symptoms for nearly a week - a long time in ME terms! i've also used colloidal silver which helped enormously. my symptoms were so alleviated that i felt like a new woman! this lasted about six weeks but i've found that it seems to work like echinacia ie on a short term basis as using it continuously didn't keep the symptoms at bay. I left off using the silver for about three months and tried again with similar results. before i used the silver i could barely get out of bed, was in constant debilitating pain and was so depressed i didn't want to get through the day! i really believed i was dying slowly and in great pain.

I watched a video on youtube (Bob Beck) about the use and properties of colloidal silver and made my own little machine using a nine volt battery and a little battery adapter that i could attach the silver strips to. i got the battery adapter from Maplins and it cost a couple of pounds. once the battery and silver were connected i put the two strips in a glass of tap water and waited for two to three minutes. once the glass of water was swirling with the silver, I removed the battery and wiped the silver clean with a metal scouring pad, gave the water a quick stir and drank it down. I had three glasses each day and although my pain got progressively worse through each ensuing day (I started on the Monday and by Friday could hardly move!) by Saturday I had the breakthrough and on Sunday actually leapt out of bed! It was only when i reached the bedroom door that I realised that i'd actually jumped out of bed! for me this was amazing! I bought my silver online, the costs fluctuate (between £10 and £17) and you need to look for 99% pure silver. apparently the extra pain i suffered (starting in my head and working down) was the silver attaching itself to all the virals in my blood stream and removing them through the usual bodily waste procedure. I persevered as life had become intolerable and I was thinking about ending it all every day and this just seemed to be my last hope. it's given me a new lease of life and although i can't claim to be cured i'm no longer so dreadfully depressed and I find that I can structure my day (using pacing) to suit. Please watch the video on youtube with Bob Beck as it will give you more information.gentle hugs xxx

wheat-filled heat pack, heated plasters, TENS machine, distraction (by anything tv, book, computer), sleep - napping is a great pain reliever for me, various joint supports - knee, wrist etc. and gentle exercise.

I find swimming very relaxing however I think my pool has a lot to do with it.the pool isin a gym, it is dimly lit with the back wall white with changing lights. It is very quiet and warm. There are 2 jacuzzis at one end which are very warm and massage you.

Try your nearest gym.

I find swimming and meditation very helpful for controlling symptoms. I also use a TENS machine regularly.

I've just posted about my latest find, although I am a little cautious that some people will believe my intentions aren't honourable... It's a product by Herbalife, and it's called Niteworks. It's all natural, so doesn't interfere with other medications, and it has lowered my pain levels, and improved my energy levels after only taking it for a month. If anyone would like more info on if please let me know... Hope everyone has a pain free Xmas... Xxx
