which benefit do you receive cold weather payment for?
If your on ESA if its gets cold enough for 7 days in a row, you get £25
I used to get £10 if the temperature was cold enough on seven consecutive days....it is much higher if you are a pensioner and I'm not sure what happens if you are in receipt of high level DLA. You could also give the CAB a ring and they would be able to tell you exactly, according to your circumstances.
Hope that helps a bit

Cold weather payment is £25 for certain benefits, your mum's will be the winter fuel allowance for pensioners. Mine was paid into my bank with my pension this morning, and very grateful I am too xx
They may change it to how far the iceberg has moved down our local canal the way things are going.
