hi ...I would put that you are in constant pain from the start,as they ask how long you can walk before the onset of pain!..and I would say from your front door to your car..50 yards..any more you have to stop because of pain...I know it sounds bad if you can manage to walk a little bit more or push yourself,as god knows we all do and have to,but believe me,we do ourselves no favours saying that....xx

I would put 24 yards with sticks that should get you out of the house to your car :) then you need to sit :) It is not far but very exhausting.

Hi jacksie, you don't mention, roughly, how good or bad you are!?

What is your walking like?

For instance here's my own personal example:- I'm in pain the moment I move and am on my feet! :o

So my advocate from welfare rights said zero yards................ but it does depend on your own personal ability. He also made reference to my walking sticks and wheelchair.

A couple of years ago though I could manage to get half way down the park.......... say 50yds but pain levels remained stable, that was with 1 walking stick

You could actually test yourself, get up and go and walk and see how far you get before feeling pain :) I can never gauge it either without testing.

:) xxxzebxxx :)

If you are in constant pain then the answer is zero as that is what I was advised to put.And it has to be on your worst day as well, good luck x

Good luck on filling out the forms. I was always told to go with worst case scenario, which I find difficult because on a good day I can walk several miles, on a bad day moving isn't something I prefer to do at all. It's because of those good days I don't apply.

I also have the dreaded form to fill in! I have a lot of difficulty in measuring how far I can walk. I am actually in pain sitting here writing this - how are things for you?

Please fill in the form for your worst days as our illness varies. We cannot judge how you are coping or how far you can walk. Ask someone who knows you. Good luck.

I put a big fat zero! I am in pain the moment I start moving, and then I can only manage a few steps without becoming out of breath and having the most excruciating pain!! XX

Peeps without fibbing,of course, the best way rounded it is to say you can't walk without pain, let's face it, after a few steps we are in pain right?ive got RA and know Fibrous is similar, anyway, if you can walk further than 50 feet, say, without pain, you won't get it....always tell them your worst possible day.....honesty is the best key, we know that, you may have an odd good day, but tell them how you are 99% of the time! anything less they won't give u it...

mine was refused then we re applied and went to HM Tribunal court, then adjourned as want more medical evidence, they already have my records! hmm but as it stands for me at moment soon as i stand on feet am in pain as i have planter fascitis in both feet and waiting injections, had for months in one foot and now in other i am getting a lot of pain on the ball of bone under little toe , so when i stand from sitting i hav gone over, i dont know how to hobble rite now lol .. on max of lyrica and pain relief, so i cannot basically do any walking without severe pain, xxx house to car is what i put though before i had this . x
