Hi Welcome!! I know what you mean, I'm like you and try and get on with things, my daughter and partner are supportive, but its only someone else with FM that can really understand, I also have depression, bulging discs, underactive thyroid and now need an angiogram. I get fed up with the lots of it...
Hi Maz, thanks for the response. If you are like me most people look at you and think you are fine,I don't go on about my issues and as you say unless you have FM you can not understand how it can effect ones whole life. Its nice that you also have an understanding family. Hugs Hair
Hi there, have you been back to your g.p with regards to your pain?It may be worth going to see if you can adjust any meds your on.Have you done a pain management course? This can be quote beneficial in helping you to cope with your pain.I have found that since I have been responding to peeps posts on here and posting some of my own it has really helped me cope better and I don't feel so lonely now x
yes, sometimes it does seem like we are all alone with these wretched problems but because of this site, we don't have to be. Someone always understands. I agree with Haribo that the Pain management courses really can help.
Hi and welcome Hair. I know how you feel about being alone. If it wasn't for this site, I wouldn't have anyone to talk to all day until the kids come home from school & then hubby comes home from work - & they've all got their problems, which they all have to tell you at the same time! And although they are supportive, they don't really know/understand what it's like having fibro, so It's nice to have a site like this where you can talk, share problems, check symptoms, or just have a laugh with.
