Hi cherjane I have been experiencing weird sensations with my heat first it will race then palpitations, flutters and just this past week I have been getting light headed. I think I have wound myself up by thinking I have something wrong with my heart as FMS affects muscles and your heart is after all a muscle. My pulse races even when I'm sitting doing nothing. I think ive been a bit stressed lately which hasn't helped. I keep saying I'll go to the doctors and get it checked out then I find myself making excuses and talk ,myself out of it.

Hi there,I get the same sort of thing that riles17 experiences. The palpitations, heart racing sometimes, light headed feeling.Ive never actually worried about it though as I can't honestly say that it bothers me that much compared to the chronic pain, fatigue and fog lol x

Well I am glad I am not the only one with heart flutters or irregular heart rate. But mine has been getting worse so i am now on beta blockers and Tambocor to regulate the heart rate.it seems to be side effect of the fibro.

Hi offcut - I've got a cardiologist apt on weds for the results of my MRI after my heart attack almost 6 weeks ago :-(

What are ablations ?

I'm not very "up" on heart problems but I am very interested since my attack - I too have AF / scary / are you have a regulator fitted ?

Regards - Tina

bhf.org.uk/heart-health/tre... tells you all there it is very uninvasive

BTW I was diagnosed with AF in 1992, suffered before that and was told by my doctor at the time not to worry about it :(

To be honest where they put the tubes you cannot see a thing except the monitors etc.. I would rather they did that than open me up.

I guess so :-)

Hi

I've had Fibro (diagnosed) for 20 years.

Been having tachycardia attacks many times where my heart rate went over 200 beats per minute.

After one particular attack I collapsed and was taken into hospital.

The idiot paramedic said I was just having a panic attack.

When your heartbeat is that high you're at risk of having a stroke.

I had an arterial ablation on my heart in 2009. You have to have it done whilst you're awake.

The Consultant explained after my operation that 30% of women have a part of their heart (can't remember the name) that set off a tachycardia attack. Mine all started off after major stress and crises.

My attacks all were the same timing as my Fibro, so could be related. Not sure

Thank you for your concern. I have still having a problem with the atrial fibrillation but have been emailing my Cardiologist of the changes. As for the Fibro it is always there annoying me in the background. I hope you are well. Work is stressful which is adding to my problems. Take care and have a great day.
