Sleeping with copd coughing

Hi I,m stage 3 copd and most nites I cough but a lot of nites I start to cough and can't stop I,v got a pillow rest so I try to sleep sat up not good I get aches and pains every where I lay down I cough so I sit up untill I stop coughing then lay down and I start again any one got any tips please please please

Before I was diagnosed (similar condition) and given oxygen (24/7, quickly get used to the nasal specs) I had exactly that problem. I had a bank of normal pillows with a large V neck pillow, which cradled me which felt as comfy as laying down normally, but still helped with the cough. If things are getting worse, you might need to talk to dr, May need more tests to see how your oxygen levels are doing, rou nd the clock including during sleep.

Feel for you, it's just horrible, maybe they can do something else for you. Tulip xx
