sent to me - invisible ilnesses

It's hard to explain to someone who has no idea of the daily struggles you face.

Feeling pain, feeling unwell, feeling awful on the inside whilst looking perfectly fine on the outside. Putting on a brave face for everyone.

Please share this on your status if you, or someone close to you, has an invisible illness. There are many forms -

Chron's, PTSD, Anxiety, Depression, Diabetes, Lupus, Fybromyalgia, MS, ME, Arthritis, Cancer, Heart Disease, Epilepsy, Autism, Alzheimers and the many other types of invisible illness coped with daily.

this was sent to me on facebook.

Hi hamble. :)

Yes, I saw something similar that my friend Jess posted back in the day when I had facebook, and before I joined - or even knew of, HU (it was about a yr and half ago) I was tempted to comment and say I'm on at that list ( at least, twice), but I stopped myself. I wanted people to understand the daily challenges I faced, but I guess... I didn't want personal things about me to made public...I was diagnosed with Fibro and I just didn't tell anyone, and there came a point was just too late. Because so many people said it was on head prior diagnosis it just seemed far easier let everyone believe that. It just felt over self righteous to come out with, 'actually, it's because I have Fibro'. After all, how I possibly explain it to them? And they were so young. How could I get them to understand I had an invisible illness?

Thankyou so much for sending it. If I did have FB, I might have it in me to bite the bullet and post it, this time.

Thanks for your considering regarding my blog on the other forum. :)

P.S. If you're a member, it might be worth posting on Foggy's invisible illness as this encompasses more health conditions that Fibro, just a thought. xx

Yes it is an invisible illness to the uninitiated and strangers.

But in my case it is not with my family even though I don't blab on about it.

I am told they can Tell just by looking at my eyes.

Well they do say your eyes are the windows of the soul.

And for that I am eternally grateful to them.
