I have not... But I have ibs that's often goes with fibro and artificial sweetners and chocolate set that off.... But I have tried excluding food groups at one time or another over the past 23 years and nothing has helped except re the ibs.

I'm the same - nothing makes any difference to me, but white bread upsets my IBS.

Many of us find that certain foods cause problems, but it's very individual thing. I suppose the answer is to avoid anything that doesn't seem to agree with you personally.

Interestingly, a lot of people find that foods which trigger migraine will also cause trouble with fibro - chocolate being a biggy - unfortunately!

Yes there are 9 commandments for pain and fibro....it does Google

1 cut back on carbs. 90% of fibromite have low adrenal function, which affects the metabolism of carbs

2 consume lots of omega 3...eat lots of fish

3. Avoid aspertame and artificial sweetners. Excitotoxins activate neurons and increasse sensitivity to pain.

4. Avoid MSG and additives. Fast foods and Chinese flavour enhancers. These are exitatory neurotransmitters.

5. Avoid or limit caffiene. This is a stimulant which affects sleep.

6. Avoid or limit nightshades...tomatos, potatos, peppers, eggplant, tobacco.

7. Avoid or limit yeast and gluten....wheat, barley, rye. Some can tolerate oats, some can'I.

8. Avoid or limit intake of dairy products. About 70% of people worldwide have some degree of lactose intolerace.

9. Eat for fresh foods. Avoiding additives, colours and preservatives. This can limit chemical sensitivity

Roughly half of all fibromites suffer from IBS. Foods that irritate the bowel trigger the brain to send messages that signal fibromyalgia symptoms and perpetuates pain.

Hi Oh I so agree with Stepper Although not fibro I have SLE and have had it all my life fIm 63 now and although diagnosed nearlyb30 yrs ago it has taken me years to eliminate all the foods that exacerbate my lupus My first was the wheat / gluten Then for me all red meats I did so love a steak , but alas I had to give it up. Next citrus fruits oranges grapefruit s tomatoes. Unfortunately I then took a bigger allergy which involved virtually everything so after 2 years of eating and having nothing around me that contained Benzoates Salycilates sulphites and amines I can now tolerate these in small dozes .So yes I def agree that some. Of us are truly affected by what we eat .We are the product of modern invention
