siatic pain & fms

does anyone suffer siatic pain especially in the left leg. I happened to be speaking to a few fibro friends and they experienced it and all in the left leg. just wondering if this is something significant

hiya i have suffered with that for about 6 monthsn the right leg worse than the left but i havent seen my doc about it as i thought it was just another pain of fms but seeing her this wk so i will tell her about it. My mum has siatica and doc just sent her to physio she went once they gave her a leaflet of exercises and that was it ! she still suffers with it. hope today is a low pain day

Hi blondy

I get sciatica in my left leg too and sometimes my foot feels numb.

I didn't even connect it to the fibro but now you've got me wondering, think i will ask next time i am at GP.

My right leg is worse, couldnt walk for 2 days (missed my esa medical so got stopped) when i went to doc he said sounds like sciatica, but it seems i get it every time i walk mostly in right leg so im wondering if it is that!!

Hiya Blondy, yes I suffer but usually my right side. When it starts its like my back and leg go into spasm and takes ages to go. The slightest movement can sometimes set it off. Angela x

Been suffering from it for years, I've always put it down to the fact that I was doing sit ups and never prob did them properly e.g warming up etc, but who know's? Left leg mainly but do get it in my right as well sometimes. I suffer every day with it to some degree. I had an xray couple of months ago and gp said it showed wear that would cause sciatica.

It really is a pain in the bum!! xx
