Reduced Fees from HFEA

The Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority has announced that because it has cut its running costs, it is able to reduce the treatment fees charged to UK fertility clinics.

As of 1 October the fee for in vitro fertilisation (IVF) will be reduced from £104.50 to £75 and the fee for donor insemination will go down from £52 to £37.50.

The fee is what the HFEA charge to clinics to cover the cost of regulation and we very much hope they will pass this reduction on to patients as appropriate.

Wow, that is really good news. I can report my clinic seem to have passed that reduction on, as the bill for this round of treatment was slightly lower, I did wonder why!
