Today I got my beta hcg report and it’s negative. How long did you wait between Failed IVF Cycles?

Can anyone tell their experience and success stories

Sorry it was negative 💔Do you need to stim again? I’ve had good results with allowing one cycle between two stims and going again quite quickly. The second stim has seemed to get me more good quality blasts on two occasions I’ve done this.

With FETs I was advised you can just go again straight away but I think some prefer a cycle in between.

I have one embryo left. Hopefully it works! I’m 37 and I don’t think I have the privilege of skipping few cycles :(

Hello,

I am 37 too. Unexplained infertility.

Had my first cycle May-July (long protocol) resulted in chemical.

I took a month off and then started again Sept - Oct (long protocol) this resulted in MC.

Each round we made one good graded embryo and then a couple of CC’s which my clinic will not freeze and have discarded- something else I have struggled to accept.

After this I’ve decided to take a big break as mentally I can’t cope with another round. I too feel the pressure of my age as I don’t plan to do another round until the summer. I read once there’s nothing wrong with taking a break and not rushing so I’m holding onto that.

Good luck, whatever you decide

I’m sorry it did t work this time 😢 my clinic always say we have to have a bleed after the failed transfer then can call up with the next actual period to start again (whether it’s a fresh cycle or for a frozen transfer) it gives your body time to get back in a rhythm so that you have the best possible chance of success. 37 is still young for IVF (I had success at 39 and 42!) so no need to rush for the sake of a month, better to have your body rested and ready to go again 🤗 xx

Oh I wasn’t aware of it. I will have a discussion with my doctor. She asked me to visit her once I get my period. Thank you so much 😊 Feels so good to read comforting comments

Hi,

I’m sorry to hear it didn’t work. When I had my MC at 9 weeks, it took a few months before I was ready to try again. I recently had a chemical pregnancy and was told I could try again as soon as my next cycle after the bleed. I’m not waiting long this time just until new year but I think it really depends on how ready you feel because of the huge physical, emotional and financial toll.

Oh really sorry for your loss! May I please ask when did you get to know about your chemical pregnancy? In my case emotionally and financially, as of now I feel fine. Not sure of my physical condition.

It was late October. I honestly would have done my next transfer in December but because my clinic will be shut I’m going for natural cycle FET in January.

Oh ok. All the very best😊 I feel mine will be in Jan too.

I am sorry this transfer didn’t work. 😔

I did a medicated FET in January straight after my first (failed) fresh transfer in December last year; it was not my doctor’s preference, but logistically it was the only thing that would work as I was leaving the country for a new job in early February. Despite not allowing my body to rest and the stress of moving to a new continent, I am breastfeeding this three-month little boy as I write this ❤️

Ultimately it depends on your doctor’s advice, and your physical and mental state. You need to do what feels right for you and your unique circumstances!

In my opinion, there is no real reason to wait cycles between FETs

I'm so sorry it was negative for you this time. Personally I always waited a few months to give myself some time to grieve and save money for next round. Go with your gut feeling you will know when your ready to try again. X
