Delayed ovulation after ER

Hi everyone

I was wondering if this has happened to anyone before. I usually have very regular cycles and have undergone two egg collections. After my first egg collection, I had my first bleed 10 days later, and my cycle returned to normal. I ovulated on time, usually around day 11, and I always feel ovulation pain, so I know I am definitely ovulating.

I took a month off before my second egg collection. Again, I had my first bleed 10 days later, but this time, my next cycle seems a bit off. I’m now on day 14 with no sign of ovulation. I’ve been feeling occasional pinching pain in both ovaries, but I haven’t ovulated yet. My Clearblue ovulation test started showing a flashing smiley face four days ago, but I still haven’t gotten a static smiley or felt my usual ovulation pain.

This is very unusual for me. Does this mean I might not ovulate this month? Or could it be significantly delayed ?

Hi. Of course it can take up to three cycles to return to what is normal to you. Pinching can be a sign of cyst activity, but most likely your ovaries settling down again. Im sure all will be sorted soon. Good luck. Diane

This is very common. My cycles are usually 28 days, but after ER it's always around 35 days, so one week delay.

completely normal, my cycle was 45 days after ER with no ovulation for 2 months. So nothing to worry about x
