bleeding after transvaginal scan 7 weeks

Hi, I am 8 weeks pregnant today. Still taking progesterone vaginally twice daily.Two days ago, I had my first transvaginal scan. Yesterday, I noticed some blood in my underwear and experienced cramps. Today, I also had about two drops of very dark, almost black blood, along with cramps. I hadn’t experienced anything like this before the scan, and now I’m extremely worried. Has anyone else experienced this? Thank you🙏🏼

I found that I had some bleeding after each scan until well after my 12 week one. It's very very likely just your cervix being easily annoyed and the pressure from the ultrasound but worth contacting EPU or your clinic for some reassurance.

The exact same thing happened to me! I had some light bleeding for about 4 days after the first scan, ended up going to epu and everything was fine. X

Hiya,

I had the same thing and my clinic said it was from the progesterone tablets irritating my cervix. They recommended changing to the rectum and bleeding stopped x

Hi, I bled for one day and then had some spotting for about a week, along with cramps. I was very scared, but everything turned out fine in the end. I hope you’re feeling better as well
