Light bleeding 7 days after embryo transfer

Hi all, I had a 5 day frozen embryo transfer 7 days ago - 2 embryos put back.

48 hours later, I experienced some mild cramps and again the day after that.

This morning I have some more mild cramps and I've just been to the toilet and have a very light pink discharge?

Could this be my period so soon after the embryo transfer or is it implantation bleeding?

I had the transfer on day 20 of my cycle and this is now day 27 of my cycle. Not due to test until next Tuesday.

I'm prone to having shorter or longer cycles, I.e. 33 day cycles, 25 day cycles so I'm worried now with this being day 27 that this is my period coming.

If using pessaries that can cause irritation that results in pinkish staining Also make sure drinking plenty of fluids in case it is the start of a urine infection The meds you were on during treatment can increase the blood flow " down below " and cause some spotting

Take care of yourself - thinking of you

Thanks for your reply. I'm not using pessaries as I'm using lubion injections. It fits in with my monthly cycle unfortunately so it's making me think negative 😩

Hello, I hope you are holding up ok today. Just wanted to share my experience of spotting in the two weeks wait as I’m hoping it could give some reassurance. I started spotting on day 8 that lasted two days. Like you I thought it was all over and I was preparing for the worst. I’m currently 6 weeks 6 days :) I’m not out of the woods yet as I started spotting again yesterday but I have my scan on Friday. My fingers are crossed for us both. Lots of self care in order xxx

On my last IVF cycle, I had pale pink spotting (like pepto bismo colour) 8dp3dt. That turned out to be BFP which is now our wonderful 22 month old. Wishing you success!! Xxx

On my 8dp5dt I had spotting. It was the exact day my period should have come so I thought it was over. It was a BFP. Following this I had spotting again and cramps and later blood but hcg continues to rise. My clinic said it's normal. I am not taking progesterone pessaries, just intramuscular injection and blood thinners. It's not easy not to worry but blood does not always mean period is coming. Wishing you the best of luck.

it could be your period but it could also be implantation or irritation of the cervix or just spotting for no known reason I’m afraid I’ve had all of these and you just never know until that day you tesr but defo doesn’t mean it’s all over 🤗 lots of luck xxx
