I’m wondering if taking Omega-3 with DHA and EPA is a good idea during pregnancy. I found a supplement that contains 1000 mg of Omega-3, with 350 mg of EPA and 250 mg of DHA. I don’t eat fish, so I’m considering supplementation. My Gp said she does not prescribe it,but that I can get it over the counter.
Can you share your experiences with taking Omega-3 supplements ?

it’s comes with my pregnacare max as a separate capsule to take alongside the other one so I assume it is what we are meant to be taking and seems pretty standard vitamin! I don't eat fish either xx
Thank you :). I do not take aspirins. I am only taking estrogen 3 times per day and progesterone twice daily. My clinic says they only advise patients to take folic acid, but other doctors definitely recommend taking omega-3, but they are not familiar with IVF treatments, so it’s been confusing for me to make the right decision. That’s why I am asking people who might be in the same situation as me. Thank you for your help🙂
Talk to your doctor before using omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids together with aspirin. Fish oil and other products containing omega-3 fatty acids may rarely increase the risk of bleeding when combined with other medications that can also cause bleeding such as aspirin. (from Google)
Omega-3 supplements may interact with drugs that affect blood clotting. Omega-3 supplements may extend the time it takes for a cut to stop bleeding. (from Google)
