I’m travelling to Spain tomorrow for my second FET on Saturday. First FET in December didn’t work and I’m quite anxious about 2WW this time and wondered if anyone else was having a transfer in the next few days? I’m hoping to find others going through the same awful experience of waiting 💕

I feel sure you will get some replies to your post that will be helpful Natural to feel stressed about the 2WW- just try to keep yourself busy - reading , walking , maybe watch some old films Eat a healthy diet and drink plenty of fluids and rest when you can Take any meds you are given as directed . Give yourself a special treat every 2/3 days [ something to look forward too] such as fancy chocolate/sweet - a bunch of daffodils - pamper yourself a little
I'm there with you! Mine's booked in for this Saturday (not in Spain, unfortunately! 😄)
Good luck! Fingers crossed this one will stick and we both have good news!!🤞
I've had 4 transfers now (this will be my 5th) and my advice is to keep yourself busy, to take your mind off it. I wouldn't sit at home doing nothing as your mind will go into overdrive!
I plan to keep working (I work from home, so its easy for me), I'll keep doing my daily dog walks, meet up with friends, going to see the new bridget jones movie next week, so I might watch the old ones before that, a bit of gentle yoga (my clinic recommend this, but check with yours first). I also use a mindfulness app, which i find helpful for clearing the mind and I enjoy cooking (and eating!) healthy recipes.
All the very best of luck to you! X
PS. I also haven't bought any pregnancy tests as I tend to want to test early! Going to get them just before official test date (I say that now, but may cave before then! 😆)
Amazing! Those are super helpful suggestions. I’m going to see Bridget Jones on Sunday night in an effort to not think about it! Are you OE or DE? Do you know the grade? I’m having acupuncture this time around because I’ve heard really good things about it helping implantation. I’m willing to try anything! Keep me posted on your progress over the next few days! Good luck 🌸 X
Same! I'm literally trying everything. I've had all the tests I could possibly have done and have been eating healthily, keeping fit and not drinking alcohol for months now, so at least I know I've done my best.
I'm using my own eggs, perhaps for the last time! We had our embryos PGTA tested this time as I've had 3 miscarriages and one failed round and this is the only euploid (normal) one we're left with, so really hoping this is the one!
Hi 👋 I'm today, This is my 5th embryo transfer we have gone abroad too. This is our second transfer with this clinc, although it failed last time I felt the care was better than at clincs at home.
We have a week here so transfer is being done on our first days so the first week of the 2 week wait should go quite quick. I've also taken next week off work too I've never done this before normally I do transfer then day or 2 off and back to work so many a 2 weeks off work will help.x
I had my first FET on Wednesday so I'm waiting with you. Although I'm feeling surprisingly relaxed and don't actually want to test as I want to keep this hope bubble going just encase haha x
All the best and enjoy what you can of being in Spain for it! I had mine on Monday, grey skies with freezing misty rain and all. But alas, my clinical team this round were the best. My transfer was in the afternoon, so got a massage before hand in the morning (ok’d by my consultant). It really helped me feel super relaxed all day.
I’ve spent my time off reading, watching series on Netflix and attended a Life Drawing class. I was due to go back to work today but started feeling all anxious about it. Even though I can work from home, work has been an underlying cause of anxiety for me for quite some time now so I’ve decided to put myself first and get signed off by my doctor instead. A special treat every 2/3 days and Bridget Jones are great ideas! Might do the same. xx
I’m having my first transfer on Monday. It’s taken a long time, lots of cancelled cycles and a lot of prep to get my womb ready so it really hasn’t sunk in.
I’m just trying to quell my negative thoughts and remain cautiously optimistic!
Really sending everyone on this thread the most positive energy!
I feel at peace in that I know is the right step but I cannot feel excited not anxious. Very weird. I'm not sleeping well which probably is a sign I'm not that relaxed 😌 are you sleeping well? I wish you all the best xx
Having a fresh transfer on Sunday in Cyprus and then flying home after which I'm a touch worried about but think I'll definitely feel more comfortable at home. Lots of baby dust to everyone.
I had my FET this morning and paid for lounge access at the airport so I can relax and have a bite to eat without the chaos in the terminal. They even have lovely hot showers which I found quite relaxing. Just a thought because I agree with you that I’d far prefer to be at home x
That's a great idea, I do have a bit of hanging around at the airport so that would be nice. I'll look and see how I can arrange this, many thanks for the suggestion.
