Over responding to stims again

Hello,

Back in November I overresponded and had to abandon long protocol ivf as my estrogen levels were 27000.

I am currently doing short protocol, and started stims exactly a week ago. I'm over responding again and so they have reduced me to 75iu menopur per day. Me estrogen is 10,000. I have another scan and blood test on Wednesday (it's Monday now).

Does anybody have experience of estrogen levels reducing in a couple of days? I'm so scared we will have to abandon again.

I'm 39, my amh was 3.6 back in April 2024 and I have PCOS.

Any advice or similar stories would be helpful!

Thank you, mandy

My Ostrogen levels were also very high (not as high as 27,000 but 10,000 by day 10 or 11 I think and I stimmed until day 13) and there was no need to cancel as I didn’t have an HCG trigger but an antagonist trigger (Buserelin). This all most cancels the risk of severe OHSS. It however means you have to do a freeze all but I don’t see that as an issue.
