Is there any point in ivf with an amh of 2.6? Afc of 6 (I'm 36, no other fertility issues) I've had 3 failed medicated iui's with good quality donor sperm (one dominant folicle each time) and was told with a low amh iui would be more likely to work than ivf. Would you give ivf a go if you were me? Or would you go for donor eggs/ embryos? We're on a limited budget so we can only do 1 attempt!

Is ivf worth it?

hey sorry about your three unsuccessful IUI s. It’s really tough the whole process.
My partners AMH was 2.5 , social infertility using donor sperm and due to age she opted to go straight to ivf - we did 3 rounds in the end and each time there was only one embryo that made it to transfer, none to freeze. So much more invasive for not much more of a chance. None of our rounds were successful and it cost a lot of money. At your age I would personally go for at least 6 rounds IUI before IVF, it’s really pushed by the private clinics as it makes so much more money but it isn’t always the right choice for people. It is such a personal choice though so maybe just give yourself a bit of time to weigh it all up? I wish you the best luck with whichever route you take
I would go for IVF as your egg quality could be fine and you may get 5-6 eggs after stimulation. With donor sperm , you could get a couple of blastocysts which gives you a better chance compared to IUI and means that each dose of donor sperm goes further.
Donor eggs /embryos have an even higher chance but are twice the price. Best to take advise from your consultant. It’s a hard path to navigate with a few different options but you’ve got time to research them all.
Good luck with everything going forward x
