is this a valid concern ?

hi everyone ,

Does anyone feel like their body doesn’t like the transfer of the embryo through the cervix ? I’m about to have a consultation following my second failed transfer and just going over what went wrong in my head . I cramped so badly the following day , could barely move and was in bed . Last transfer the cramping was on the day of the transfer . It’s always for the first couple of days and then nothing .

Is there anything they can give you to relax the uterus etc or does anyone have any similar experiences ?

thanks 😊

Not quite the same, but I had a scan for uterine contractions before this transfer to see if they were an issue.

they feel like contractions rather than cramps . I feel like I have to diagnose myself with my clinic as they just aren’t interested in anything other than putting the embryo in it seems x

Hi. My clinic offered the option of Diazepam for the transfer (which makes you more relaxed) - or having the transfer under sedation. Wishing you the best of luck x

Hi lovely,

So sorry this one didn't work :(

My clinic always gives a voltarol suppository 1 hour before transfer to stop any cramping during / after transfer.

You could mention this to them and see if it is possible?

Also, I'm not advocating taking things in to your own hands necessarily but sometimes you have to do what your gut tells you. xx

I just feel like the clinic doesn’t care . My period came today and I messaged them to say that and I haven’t even had a response . Have a consultation with another clinic next week . Emotionally and financially it’s really draining me 😢 xxxx

I would definitely think about moving if it's causing this much stress.

I hate it when they don't seem to care - it's such a big thing for us - not so big for them xx
