I am currently just under 8 weeks pregnant with our pgta tested embryo 🥹 we are going to do a gender blood test in a couple of weeks, is it worth doing the full harmony / NIPT tests or not both as it’s already been tested?
Just looking for other opinions, thanks!

My theory is that your embryo has been tested for any issues. It is acceptable that the percentage of error is the same as any other chromosome tests. But I do understand if you are seeking continuous information for your comfort. But I’m thinking you are good! Happy pregnancy and congrats!!
firstly congratulations 🫶🏼 I understand your worry even despite your embryo having been tested, ours wasn’t & we did get an NIPT with gender selection, if you are a worrier like me & can afford the test I would do it for additional piece of mind x
I would do it if you can afford it and you are over 40 as your nhs NP might come back as high risk (they don’t take into account PGTA testing) and then you will need to do it anyways with a worrying week or so in between! Or if that does happen I suppose the mhs would be paying for it anyways so you could just wait but I think if I were getting the bloods drawn anyways I might just do it to avoid any anxiety further down the line! Xx
Yeah I probably wouldn’t bother then if no age risk factors and the embryo has been tested. NHS will do baby measurements and do blood test at 12 weeks anyways xx
hi, I’m 27 weeks pregnant with a PGT-A tested embryo. I had the screening test done privately ( because I had to wait a long time for my first midwife appointment ) which came back high risk. It was later explained to me by the NHS that PGT-A testing is much more superior and I shouldn’t have had the test done as it will show high risk because of my age. I then decided to do the NIPT for my peace of mind which came back low risk.
Congratulations on your pregnancy! If you are worried just get it done! Good luck with everything x
