Has anyone had their AMH drop significantly in a relatively short time? Mine has gone from 9.1 to 4.7 2 years later and now only 1.5 a year on from that. I’m 38 and wondering what this could mean in terms of eggs/embryos for a subsequent collection. Spiralling thinking this is never going to happen and struggling to feel hopeful about our 6th collection

Hi yes this happened to me.7.7pmol/l then dropped to 1.2pmol/l just over a year and a half later.x
It's an awful shock to get.We are blessed with a 20month old that we had when my amh was 7.7pmol/l after our second round of icsi.I did get pregnant naturally in Feb 2024 when my amh was at 1.2pmol/l.Unfortunately that pregnancy ended in a miscarriage but gave us hope that we could still get pregnant.I have started taking NMN and amh increased by nearly 0.5pmol/l in the space of 2 months.x
yes i had a drop in just few months. I think it can be also from the stimulation. At least I hope in that…
My AMH has gone up from 0.8 to 1.16 in 1.5 years and AFC gone from 1-3 to 5. I think all the supplements and lifestyle changes have helped. I have managed to collected 5 day 3 embryo in my last cycle, same as all my previous 5 cycles combined. So it can change for better as well. I am 44 now.
What life style changes did you make and supplements. Thanks
If you check out the book “It starts with the eggs”, it lists many lifestyle changes and supplements you can take. On top of that, I recently took on red light therapy which is said to improve AMH as well. I have not tested my AMH since then but my AFC seems to have increased with my current cycle.
it’s also higher just after your period I think (check that though!) so the time you test is important
Mine went from 11 to 2 in 18 months, it was a huge shock. Didn’t make a huge difference ivf wise though, I had roughly the same amount of eggs at each collection during that time (4-5) x
Try not to spiral as AMH is only one piece of the puzzle. I was absolutely devastated when I found out mine was only .28 - I am 37 years old, so very very low for my age. My doctor is not deterred.
We are on our second fresh transfer and in our TWW, but on ER day they got 4 eggs, 3 of those matured. The first IVF round they only got 2 eggs, one matured. There is hope and I was told by my clinic anything around or above 1 AMH near our age is satisfactory. You got this! Xx
Mine went from 23 to 11 in 2 years.
In that time frame I did have surgery to remove endo and multiple ovarian cysts so I am wondering if that contributed to the dramatic drop? xx
I’ve had all sorts of results. It dropped from 6 to 2 and then back up to 7 within 4 months once. I wouldn’t focus on these fluctuations. It could well go back up. I’m not sure why clinics retest so often.
