Dipherelin injections

hi! I am currently looking for a nurse to do an intramuscular injection in London. We have found the Dipherelin queue easily, but we are having some serious challenges in looking for someone to do the injection. Would you know where I can find a nurse?

Hi Stephanie, perhaps I’m confused, but isn’t diphereline like any other IVF injection that you can self-inject into your tummy? There should be a big needle to draw the liquid and mix it with the powder, draw the solution again and change the needle to the thin needle to inject.

My understanding is that you don’t need a nurse for this.

They told me I need an intramuscular injection and need a certified nurse to do that unfortunately. It is not the one in the tummy.

Ah ok! I had Decapeptyl (it’s also sold under this name) as one of my trigger shots, and was able to self-inject. The pharmacy where I bought it from also said I needed a nurse but when I spoke to my clinic they said I could do it myself (as it was the tummy). Appreciate it’s not your case so sorry I couldn’t help!!

Can the clinic advise you of where you can go?

Oh unfortunately they are based in Czech Republic so they don’t really have many contacts in here. I appreciate that you are trying to help 😊 you are very kind!

I had this medication to be injected for 9 months prescribed by my overseas surgeon and so there was no local nurse to do this injection for me. We live in Canada and there is no private nurse nor dr , so there is no way you can get an injection done without a local doc prescribed it for u.

Dr overseas told us it’s okay if my husband does this at home, so he did all the 9 just by getting it learned watching a professional do it. At first I was afraid it might b risky but the Dipheralin wasn’t that hard of an injection and I was okay after.

His skill also came handy at the time of FET. The DH did all my progesterone intramuscular injections. That was a bit painful due to nature of material being oily and ticker but that one also taught by the an ivf nurse to DH.
