fluid around ovaries

Hello everyone

I had a scan yesterday following my EC on Monday and there is small amount of fluid around my ovaries, the consultant confirmed it’s not OHSS because my ovaries are normal size still but I was wondering is this normal ? Has anyone experienced it ? I’m very worried about risk of pelvic infection.

I did they explain what the fluid was and why it was there?

I just wanted to share that after my egg collection I developed pelvic haematoma ( bleeding/inflammation) around my ovaries and bowels which I was told is common and should hopefully resolve itself. My ovaries were large and I also blood filled follicles in my ovaries - again something I was told is common.

I’m not sure if it’s the same thing you have but just thought I’d share my situation

hi i had an egg collection on weds last week and they told me that i had some fluid around ovaries afterwards too. They didn’t seem concerned at all and when i asked if there’s anything i should do they said to just keep an eye out for any untoward symptoms. So i think it’s quite normal. Did they give you an antibiotic for before collection?
