Hot Drinks
Hi lovely I swap my coffee for lemon in hot water xx
I buy Barleycup from Holland & Barrett- I really like it!
I make hot chocolate with almond or rice milk since Im on an anti inflammatory gluten/dairy free diet and read that caffeine is not good either
I drink decaf, but I think it need to be the one that goes through a water filtration process (like lavazza) rather than a chemical one to avoid any unnecessary toxins. Tastes the same as the real stuff!
I found Yogi Tea, which do womens health tea bags. Some are caffeine free and are herbal with fruity flavours
Herbal teas. I love peppermint
Hot lemon water and roobios tea.
I'm a big tea drinker (I can't do coffee). I tried lots of decaff options and they were all awful, until I saw recommendations on a TTC site for Yorkshire tea decaff. I honestly cannot tell the difference and now just drink the decaff as standard without switching back to normal. It's the only one I've found that doesn't taste strange, I really can't tell the difference.
Peppermint tea. I can’t drink decaf tea or coffee tastes like dish water x
I drink decaf: organic decaf tea and swiss water method decaf coffee- I genuinely can’t tell the difference between caff and decaf, also hot chocolate, chai latte and some herbal teas.
Thank you all - I have been ranging from chai tea to herbal teas. Decaf coffee doesn't do it for me lol. Is there any specific herbal tea that is supportive during IVF cycle?
Clipper brand of decaf tea is nice decaf and closest to real tea IMO, I buy on Amazon. A thin slice of ginger in hot water is nice and warming too.
Hi, I am not a coffee drinker but have a big teacup cupboard! I like turmeric tea, apple tea, lemon decaf green tea and peppermint. I need to eat low sugar but found that the light style galaxy hot chocolate feels indulgent with a smidge of hazelnut milk but is a delicious but low calorie combo.
decaf Yorkshire tea x
I drink herbal teas (apart from Green Tea which is caffeinated and Chamomile tea - I can't remember the reasoning for this but I remember one clinic telling me to avoid it).
I tend to avoid decaf tea/coffee as they can still have up to 12 milligrams of caffeine in each cup - and once I have the taste for one cup of coffee, I always like a second or third later in the day! Whoops.
I also tend to avoid hot chocolate due to its high sugar content, which books tell me can affect IVF success.
Whilst I am a total coffee lover, I just try to drink like a saint whilst undergoing IVF. The other commentator's suggestion of lemon with water is probably best, and I'll start trying that shortly.
Best wishes and good luck!
head raspberry leaf tea is good?
Organic spearmint tea, it's said to balance hormones but I really like the taste if you like mint teas x
