Looking for some support and also if anyone has been in a similar situation to this.
After going on 450 dose of menopur during long protocol IVF we had to abort the cycle as I was over responding to the meds and my estrogen was so high.
I have another appt in January and they are recommending short protocol ivf this time.
I have been monitoring my ovulation but so far haven't ovulated. My period after aborting the ivf cycle was very very light.
I'm nervous going forward that I've missed my best shot! Anyone in a similar situation with an aborted cycle and feeling at odds whilst waiting for the next one?

My first cycle my body also respond very well to the drugs and they collected 36 eggs by the retrieval I was very blotted and uncomfortable. Overstimulated and from that cycle I just had one embryo we did FET but didn’t work so I think cancel the cycle was the best there is no way that many eggs could make it and get overstimulated for the body can be very dangerous. In my 2 cycles they reduce the dosis and I still collected 16 eggs 8 got fertilised but just 2 make it to day 6 but even then I got a reaction from the trigger shot and my stomach was blotted with liquid so we cancel the transfer.
Hi. Sorry sorry to hear this, but they must have thought you were in danger of hyper stimulating. I can’t imagine how upset you must feel, bur they must be careful with you. Much will have been learned I’m sure, and perhaps a more gentle approach is the way to go. Thinking of you. Diane
hiya, my first ever ivf cycle was stopped due to over stimulation. I had wayyyyy too many follicles, I think around 33. As much as they’ve tried to calm things down I was just very sensitive to the meds, they weren’t expecting this due to my age at the time which was 35. So I had to take a break for my ovaries and everything to go back to her normal, then to restart the next cycle which worked. As much as I was gutted, I followed the advice and everything went well resulting in my first ivf baby. Now I am pregnant with second ivf baby. Good luck , it will work out in the end x
