Hi, I’ve surprisingly had a positive pregnancy test following my third cycle of letrozole (first and only time I’ve responded to letrozole). Feeling very surprised, shocked and happy.
I’m day 17 post trigger shot / day 16 post ovulation. I told my fertility clinic Friday of the positive test and they replied to an email and said to just continue my medication - however I’m only on metformin (for PCOS not t2dm) and folic acid and no information on what happens next.. I obviously asked this in both emails on Friday but they haven’t replied as it’s obviously the weekend and they never answer the phone number given when I also called Friday
Do I refer myself for antenatal care? Do I call the GP? Do I need a blood test for hcg or a scan? Conscious it’s very early on..
Never ever thought it would actually happen so never thought this far ahead!

Hi lovely congratulations I booked a private scan at 7 weeks you can refer yourself for antenatal care but I would let your Gp know as well take care lovely xxx
Congratulations! I self-referred to the community midwifes but didn't get seen until week 10. I contacted my Gp and I was offered a phone appointment to discuss a medication I am on (not fertility related) . So nothing from the nhs for a while. I booked a private scan at week 7 after my clinics advice. My clinic is abroad. All the best
Ah thank you for sharing what you did and what happens. I made an appt with my GP for tomorrow but might just self refer, just feels odd after so many appointments with the fertility clinic then nothing pregnant!
I’m in USA so it’s probably different but I was with fertility clinic for testing blood (betaHCG) to check if is increasing well and then they also did two ultrasounds (week 7 and week 8) to confirm that everything looks well. After that they sent all my tests to my ob and obgyn scheduled me when I was week 11 for first prenatal check. Here they tend not to see you until week 11/12 (if there’s no some problem).
